The Trustee Board is made up of 12 Directors which are employer and member nominated representatives in equal numbers and two Independent Directors.
Six member Directors, with three appointed by the Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) and three appointed by the Mining and Energy Union (MEU).
Six employer Directors, with one nominated and appointed by the NSW Minerals Council (NSWMC), one by the Queensland Resources Council (QRC), one jointly by the NSWMC and QRC, and three by the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation (ARTIO).
Two Directors are Independent Directors nominated and appointed by the Trustee Board.

The Trustee has established Committees to advise it and make decisions about important issues affecting your super. The Committees, comprised of Trustee Directors, meet a number of times each year and include:
Investment Committee | Makes decisions on how the Fund’s assets are invested and into which sectors the assets will be invested on behalf of Fund members. Oversees the Fund’s investment managers, custodian and other investment related service providers. Develops the Investment Governance Framework and other investment policies, objectives and strategies for Board approval. Monitors investment manager performance, liquidity and valuation practices. Oversees the activities of the Fund’s Investment team. |
Operations and Insurance Committee | Oversees practices relating to insured and non-insured death and disability claims, including disputed and complex claims. Makes decisions on claims escalated to it for decision. Reviews insurance policy arrangements and oversees the Insurance Management Framework. Oversees the Group’s vendor management practices including service provision of material vendors not overseen by other Committees. |
Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee | Oversees activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, company policies and frameworks. Assists Board to develop the Trustee’s risk appetite and risk management strategy. Oversees and monitors Team Super Group’s risk management practices, compliance obligations, conflicts management practices, defined benefit Sub-funds, external and internal audit services providers and other key governance requirements. |
Remuneration and Nominations Committee | Considers, oversees and evaluates practices relating to remuneration, organisational structure, workplace health and safety, workplace relations, fitness and propriety, the Financial Accountability Regime and other people related activities. Growth and Strategy Committee | Identifies and evaluates opportunities relating to inorganic and organic growth. Considers research, reviews and recommendations made to it from other Committees and sources on growth opportunities. Presents recommendations to the Board for further action. |
Industry Committee | Identifies, coordinates research on and/or reviews opportunities arising from transport, mining, energy and other relevant industry partners, their adjacent and/or affiliated industries and current/potential partners to help inform the Trustee’s strategic, business, marketing and growth plans. Assists other Board Committees and the Board to consider and evaluate opportunities arising from the research and reviews. |
